“Berlin! Wow you are a beautiful, multicultural wonderland of music and art. My days here are spent skateboarding through the mysterious laneways and getting lost in street art that tells the tales of the past the now and the dreams up the future. It has been such an adventure moving to Berlin from such a small town outside of Perth, Western Australia.

I find the people here more open, it makes it a lot simpler to connect on a deeper level and create new friendships. The universe has a funny way of testing me through change and I’m so open and ready for it. This is something Berlin has shown me how to embrace.”

1) Skate through Friedrichshain

I can get lost for hours in Friedrichshain and never get bored of it. There is always something going on and I’ve met some pretty interesting people on my adventures.

2) Devour two boxes of Brammibal’s vegan donuts

Pumpkin Cream Cheese is the way to go… I died and went to heaven.

3) Get lost in Titus skate shop

This is an amazing skate shop! It’s one of my main passions (as well as surfing), so it’s great to have a good store where the staff are cool and down for a chat.

4) People watch in Kreuzberg

The Turkish market is pretty epic and the street art is insane. I love the vibe here it has such a great community feel. It’s nice to sometimes slow down and watch life go by, and this is a great spot to do just that.

5) Go for a swim at Badeschiff

The floating pools and baths are pretty cool here and so is the little beach area down by the dock. It’s a beach bar in the middle of the city, and the perfect place to go and chill out when I’m homesick. I can feel the sand between my toes and much like pretty much everywhere else I’ve been in Berlin the communal feel is awesome.
