Dip & Flip opens in Tooting!
Dip & Flip opened their third branch in Tooting on Friday 15th January. If you still haven’t heard of these guys, they serve delicious cheeseburgers topped with slices of roast beef dipped in gravy… with an additional side of dipping gravy. Unfortunately Dip & Flip only have locations in south-west London, but this sounds so freakin’ delicious it’ll be well worth the trip if you live further away. Go! Go now!!

Street Feast: Dinerama returns to Shoreditch!
The pop-up food mecca for wannabe-hipsters, Dinerama, re-opened it’s doors in Shoreditch again on Thursday 14th January. It will be open every Thursday/Friday/Saturday from now until 26th March. All of the usual traders from last year will be there: Smokestak, BirdBox, Breddos Tacos, Yum Bun, Slider Bar, Baba G’s, Fundi, Duck’N Roll, Cheeky Italian, BBQ Lab, and You Doughnut. You can read our review from last year’s Dinerama of the best places to check out, and we will be heading down there again shortly for a recap for 2016. New features this year include walls and a roof so you don’t have to freeze to death and a German Sex Dungeon?? (*shrugs*). Best get down there and see for yourself.

Free Cheeseburgers at honest burgerS!
Honest Burgers are opening a new branch in Covent Garden next week and are giving away 100 free cheeseburgers EACH DAY between Monday 25th – Wednesday 27th January to celebrate! The burger frenzy will begin at 11.30am sharp so be ready with your stretchiest trousers. Their current ‘Tribute-to-Bacon’ served with gravy special is very special indeed.
Hawksmoor to open new restaurant in New York!
As well as celebrating their 10 year anniversary, Hawksmoor announced they would be taking the much-beloved British steakhouse to the traditional home of great steak, New York City. AND to the new World Trade Centre no less. Very fancy! The new restaurant is not set to open until the end of 2017 but it’s nice to know there will be a little slice of England somewhere in the big apple if you ever get homesick and you find your levels are dangerously low….
Pitt Cue Co. moving to East London!
In news that is both happy and sad, barbecue behemoths Pitt Cue Co. announced they would be closing the doors of their Soho branch on 18th January – booo! BUT they will be re-opening a new, bigger branch in East London sometime in mid-February – yaaay! Rumours are the new venue may even take reservations?! Double yay!! For East-London folk like me who hate standing out in the cold this is a very exciting turn of events.
