Bombetta London: delicious bundles of meaty joy in Snaresbrook

Bombetta London's menu draws inspiration from the Italian farming communities of Puglia where villagers would gather together at the butcher's shop to eat pieces of meat that had been rolled up with cheese and cured meats and then roasted over a fire. These meaty treats are Bombetta, and this idea of communal sharing of simple dishes and delicious meat on sticks is what Bombetta London have now brought to Wanstead. I don't know about you but that sounds pretty good, huh?

Django Bango: an immersive Wild West experience you best keep moseying past

Hey you! Yeah, you in London! You like immersive theatre and/or experiences right? I mean, they are all around us lately. Just look at Secret Cinema, Twin Peaks and You Me Bum Bum Train to name but a few. Well they think we like them anyway. And the latest newbie on the block is Django Bango, a Wild West themed pop-up in East London.

I'm hip, yeah? I occasionally wear skinny jeans and an over-sized coat. I can be cool and down with the kids (ignoring the fact that I am fast approaching my mid-30s). So when we were invited to the opening of Neverended, an exhibition of London's graffiti and street art in uber-hipster Shoreditch this week I wasn't going to let a little thing like my lack of street cred get in the way.

In 2015, fried chicken became the new cheeseburger. Last year it seemed like every other month a new chicken joint was popping up across London offering a crunchier, juicer, more hipster version than their PFC cousins on the high street. But I'm not going to be one of these people who bemoan the gentrification of food stuffs: if you want to take a popular dish and make it even MORE delicious, then by all means be my guest! I mean, I'm not crazy...
