Adnams: Jack Brand – Beer Review
How the 150 year-old brewer took on the craft beer market by mixing tradition with complex innovation.
When I think of Adnams I immediately think of the Suffolk seaside town of Southwold, the home of Adnams Brewery. When I think of Southwold I think of the artfully painted beach huts, the excellent fish and chips and blowing all my 50ps at The Under the Pier Show, the most bizarre and hilarious collection of bespoke amusement machines ever created. It's entirely fitting then that when I think of all that tradition mixed with a sense of British absurdity and innovation, I think of Adnams and its lovely line of beers, which run the gamut from easy-drinking session ales to more complex yet still evocatively charming brews.
